| ProMOS October Sales Results Hit Record High Sequentially |

ProMOS Technologies (Bloomberg ticker: 5387 TT, ProMOS or the Company) today reported NT$ 7,163 million in October's net sales, setting a record high in 5 straight months. Year-over-year, October net sales increased 202 percent. Revenues for January through September 2006 totaled NTD 44,957 million, representing an increase of 81 percent over the same period in 2005.
ˇ§Although the DRAM spot price rebounded in October, October net sales recorded a sequential increase primarily due to the increase in shipment quantity benefiting from the 90-nanometer technology ramp,ˇ¨ said Dr. Ben Tseng, vice president of Sales & Marketing Group and corporate spokesman. ˇ§The operation results of gross margin and net income in October would reach the result in September with the gross margin of being 47 percent without being affected by the decrease in DRAM spot price in October, ˇ§further indicated Dr. Tseng.
